Hillside Honda has been watching the Honda Super Bowl ad before this past Saturday, online. That's right; it's so good, you can watch it numerous times and still dig it. And, it wasn't just us either, looking at the view counts on You Tube, you can see there were a lot of other people into the clip too. They are even more, after the big game day. And why wouldn't they be? Costarring Matthew Broderick and the redesigned Honda CR-V, the short has the capacity to score the equivalent of two consecutive touchdowns with viewers. Add to that a modern twist on the classic Ferris Bueller Day's Off plot and you have a third.

The new Honda CR-V ad begins with Matthew Broderick (who we must say looks largely the same as he did twenty-some-odd years ago... just a little more salt in his hair) calling in sick to work. Like the original movie, Broderick spends the day gallivanting around town, going from roller coasters to a museum to tai chi on the beach to a Chinese street festival, nearly getting caught by his boss every step of the way.

At the end of the day, Broderick returns home and hands off the keys of his CR-V to his valet who peels out in it with screeching tires. In the last clip, the valet is air born in the new Honda CR-V.
