2020 Honda CR-V: Refreshed Styling, Hybrid Version

September 23rd, 2019 by

Have you heard? A hybrid CR-V is on the way! Honda has revealed its first ever, U.S.-made 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid as part of a mid-cycle update for its popular CR-V. America’s best-selling crossover of the past two decades gets a major boost with the introduction of the 2020 Honda CR-V, sporting freshened styling, new features and upgraded powertrains. In addition to the new hybrid-electric variant, major upgrades to the 2020 CR-V include bolder front and rear styling, re-designed wheels and standard Honda Sensing® safety and driver-assistive technology (previously available only on EX and above trims).

Exterior styling updates to the 2020 Honda CR-V result in a more upscale and rugged appearance. In front, you have broad openings for the fog lights that are fully integrated into the bumper, giving the 2020 CR-V a more aggressive look, while the chrome grille is more pronounced. The CR-V EX, EX-L and Touring trims get round LED fog lights, while the CR-V Hybrid models in the same trims get distinctive bar-type fog lights with five LEDs. The CR-V Hybrid will also get ‘Hybrid’ badging, as well as an exclusive blue Honda shield in the grille.

Inside the CR-V Hybrid, the new selector is flanked by drive mode buttons (ECO, Sport and EV) and liberates precious space that’s been used for a wireless smartphone charging surface (Say What ?!?!). The CR-V Hybrid also boasts a new digital instrument display that presents the information one will require, or would like to see, in a hybrid vehicle. Inside you will find the vehicle’s power/charge status, and a driver-selectable display for power distribution and regeneration.
