Honda Care for new Honda vehicles

If you're considering a new Honda, or if you've recently purchased one, Honda Care is a smart option. Even though Honda is known for its long-term reliability, it's good to know that you have that extra measure of protection for your investment.
With Honda Care, your new vehicle is protected in such critical areas as engine, transmission, suspension, air conditioning/heating and fuel system, etc. Honda Care is transferable between private parties.

Plans and Eligibility
Honda Care plans are available with terms ranging from 5 years/60,000 miles up to 8 years/120,000 miles. Honda vehicles within the original-factory-warranty period are eligible. Ask your Honda dealer for details.

Rental Car Reimbursement *
In the event your Honda requires any covered repair, Honda Care helps get you back on the road with rental-car reimbursement of up to $35 a day for up to six days, dependent on repair time. *Oil changes are not eligible for rental-car reimbursement.

Trip Interruption*
If your vehicle needs repair and you are more than 100 miles from home, Honda Care can provide up to $100 per day for meals and lodging for up to a 3-day/$300 maximum.

Dependable Honda Service From Factory-Trained Honda Technicians
All repairs will be made by factory-trained Honda technicians at authorized Honda dealerships* using only Genuine Honda or American Honda authorized parts.
* If no Honda dealership is available within towing distance, repairs will be made at a Honda-authorized service center.

Honda Care for Non-Honda Vehicles
Honda Care vehicle-service contracts can give you peace of mind when buying a non-Honda vehicle from a Honda automobile dealer. With Honda Care, your new or used vehicle is protected in such critical areas as engine, transmission, suspension, air conditioning/heating and fuel system, etc. Honda Care is transferable and is also available with powertrain coverage.

What Vehicles Are Eligible?
Honda Care contracts are available for both new and used vehicles. Plans range from 4 years/60,000 miles to 6 years/100,000 miles for new vehicles, and from 12 months/12,000 miles to 48 months/48,000 miles for used vehicles, depending on the age and mileage. Check with your Honda dealer for details.

Honda Care Sentinel?
For the ultimate peace of mind, consider the Sentinel plan. In addition to the extensive Honda Care benefits, Sentinel includes regular oil changes and provides extra protection in case of damage to your tires. Actual contract coverages, limitations and exclusions may vary. See your local Honda dealer for full details.

Plans and Eligibility
Sentinel plans are available with terms from 2 years/24,000 miles to 3 years/45,000 miles. Honda automobiles with less than 6,000 miles and less than six months from the original date of registration are eligible. See your Honda dealer for details.

Oil Changes*
Regular oil changes are an important part of maintaining your vehicle's peak performance and value. Honda Care Sentinel covers the cost of oil changes in accordance with your Owner's Manual guidelines for normal conditions.

* Honda Care Sentinel is not a maintenance program. Regular oil changes are only part of the complete maintenance responsibilities outlined in your Owner's Manual.
Road Hazard Tire Protection*?
Honda Care Sentinel expands the tire manufacturer's warranty to cover damage caused by potholes, nails, glass and other road hazards. The four original tires on your vehicle are covered for repairable leaks or punctures, up to $25 per repair. If replacement is required, this plan will cover the prorated cost up to $150.

FAQs: Service Contracts
My new car is under factory warranty. Why should I buy a service contract?
Service contracts go above and beyond your car's standard factory warranty. The comprehensive exclusionary coverage of Acura Care and Honda Care cover virtually every component of your vehicle, including drivetrain, electronics, chassis, cooling/heating and genuine factory accessories.

When does coverage for a service contract begin?
Coverage for a new-vehicle plan begins when the auto is originally put into service and at zero miles. Coverage for a used-vehicle plan begins on the purchase date and at the mileage on the odometer on that date.

Can I finance the cost of an Acura Care or Honda Care contract?
Yes. With our special interest-free payment plan, a monthly payment can be automatically debited from your checking account, MasterCard or Discover Card.

Can I include the cost of an Acura Care or Honda Care service contract in my traditional financing or lease payment?
Yes. You may finance the cost of a service contract if you purchase it at the same time as a new or used automobile.

Is an Acura Care or Honda Care contract transferable if I sell my vehicle?
Yes. Coverage is transferable from private party to private party through the life of the vehicle service contract.
