Hillside Honda Making a Difference

In April of 2010 the Hillside Honda team met Marcus Luttrell, the author of Lone Survivor. This heroic novel was featured as the Hillside Honda book club book of the month and struck a very deep nerve in one of its managers. Danielle Ginocchio was deeply touched by Marcus's story and has been raising money and volunteering her time in order to help the troops of the United States.
Each week Danielle brings in baked goods and donates 100% of the profits to the Fisher House Foundation, which aids soldiers and their families in rehabilitation after war. The families are able to stay with the soldiers while undergoing treatment. She also organized a fundraiser last year for The Wounded Warriors and donated over $5,000 in honor of Marcus Luttrell and Team Seal 10. Danielle has donated over $9,000 so far to both of these organizations and continues her efforts each week. She feels that no matter how small the donation you can still make a difference in the world.
Danielle also spends time volunteering at the Fisher House in San Antonio as part of her mission to help the troops. She will spend a full week helping out and giving her time to the people that keep our country safe. If you want to learn more about helping our troops than find out at www.WoundedWarriorProject.org and www.FisherHouseInc.org. Or you can even drop buy and purchase some of Danielle's delicious treats!
