#1 Reason Health Nuts Should Consider the Honda Civic

Everyone loves that 'new car smell,' but not everyone knows that the wonderfully addicting smell signals toxicity levels within the car. Often the new car smell is caused by the excessive use of PVC. They say the stronger the smell the higher the toxicity levels.
While this might come as a surprise, there are people out there testing cars for their toxicity levels and the 2012 Honda Civic scored the best! The Ecology Center does the chemical testing and Honda fans will be happy to know that another vehicle, the 2012 Honda CR-Z sports hybrid scored in the top 3 for low levels of toxicity.
To get an idea of how extensive the test were, over 200 new cars were tested. Speaking on Honda's healthy vehicles, Jeff Gearhart, Research Director, Ecology Center says, "This year, Honda was our best performing company in terms of their vehicles. Honda led the pack in terms of PVC reduction. They phased out the use of PVC in almost their entire fleet..."1
Are you wondering which new cars were the most toxic? The 200 SC, Soul, and Outlander Sport all tested the highest.
For a great new car, minus the toxins, head down to Hillside Honda on 139-07 Hillside Ave, Jamaica, NY 11435 today to browse our new Honda inventory selection including the Civic and CR-Z.
